Watching his friend hang in Newgate for thievery was not just a heart-wrenching thing for a fourteen-year-old to witness, it was also a catalyst for the change that he underwent, Edmond Blackstone was given a new lease on life for. He has now become a fierce and feared Bow-street runner, charged with finding the culprits whose aim is to discredit the bow street runners, they aim to do this by robbing the bank of England, imagine that.

Life on the streets of 19th century London was no bed of roses, you could say it was the pot of degradation and all things vile, here is where Edmond grew up, now  all his hard work is going to come to naught if he doesn't catch these criminals, slowly his stripes are being removed and and the life he had built for himself is now being threatened, time is running out. This tale gave a peek into life on the streets of London in the 19th century, with the darkness of the period of time, I am captivated by the storyline it is intriguing, thrilling, and entertaining, the characters are gems, this book is a  well crafted one.
